Hotel Chocolat Strawberries & Cream

So I ordered an end of season box from Hotel Chocolat, and in it were a bunch of various…end of season chocolates. One of which was this packet of strawberry ganache based chocolates covered in white chocolate, hence strawberry and cream.

In the pack are six of these small triangles. Each triangle is, as mentioned, made up of a thick ganache with real strawberry (the amount is not given) and then covered in a thin layer of white chocolate and a little drizzle of milk chocolate on top.

So as you can just about see there, that’s what these look like with the top very carefully removed. The white chocolate is fairly tasteless as it should be, because we’re here for the strawberry ganache. The milk chocolate is there simply for presentation, so let’s get to it. The ganache is a little boozy (there is an alcohol content), extremely soft and creamy whilst not being liquid like. The strawberry is subtle and yet manages to be the main flavour. All in all it’s sweet, creamy strawberry with an alcohol kick to it, and boy is it good.

A very nice pack here, it’s a shame they’re out of season or I’d have more. Highly recommended to white chocolate fans and strawberry fans alike.
