Lindt White Chocolate with Almonds Bar
Posted in: Lindt,Switzerland
A 150g white chocolate bar with whole roasted almonds and caramelised almond pieces from Lindt here. It’s interesting that they use two types of almonds here, and that they then combine it with white chocolate, but I don’t doubt that it’ll be great.
Like Friday’s bar this is direct from Switzerland but is officially distributed by Lindt in Britain, strange how I’ve never seen it anywhere. The white chocolate makes up 68% of the bar and the almonds make up 32%, that’s a whole lotta almonds.
The pack looks fairly plain, you can see on the front that the piece of chocolate has big, full almonds in there, as well as little pieces which will be the caramelised pieces, and it really does look riddled with them, so let’s open it up and see just what the case is.
And it’s exactly what the case is. The bar is very thick and it’s chock full of almonds, both whole and half, roasted and caramelised. The white chocolate is sweet and creamy without being unbearably so, and there is a definite difference between the two types of almonds. The roasted type taste, well, slightly regular and roasted. The caramelised pieces taste quite sweet and have a crisper, crunchier texture to them as well as a slightly caramelised taste.
Overall the bar is delicious, really good indeed. 150g is quite a lot and it took me two sessions to take care of this, but I enjoyed every bit of it. This is something I’d definitely want to try again and would recommend you try.
