Seeds of Change Dark Chocolate Bar

I recently got contacted by Seeds of Change’s American office asking if I wanted to sample some of their bars, now usually as soon as I mention I’m from England these American companies don’t contact me back, but they did and said they’d be glad to send me over 6 bars. I only seemed to get 4 in the end but hey, free chocolate is free chocolate.
Now just like the British company this stuff is organic, and all the bars they sent me are dark chocolate, which is not usually my thing but the bars get interesting. Organic is definitely their big thing, it gets mentioned on the front of each bar as well as getting a mention on the back, as well as a stamp and some other blurb as well. Supposedly it’s being introduced in the “eco-conscious city of Boulder, Colorado.” Perhaps that means more to American readers than myself, as I’ve never heard of the place and certainly couldn’t point to Colorado on a map of America.

Now the box as you can see is quite pretty, it’s 84.8g (very specific) and contains three individually wrapped bars within the little tab opening. Each bar is a small square with 4 breakable pieces, each with a little stamped etching on. Now 61% isn’t too dark and I could eat this stuff almost like milk chocolate, except with a bitter twang to it. This is dark chocolate to my liking as it has the undeniable taste but without any of the characteristics that usually put me off.
I’m sure the other bars will be nicer than this, but if you’re looking for regular dark chocolate at an intermediate level then this it for you. Also it’s organic and 1% of net sales are used to advance the cause of sustainable organic agriculture worldwide! And so I officially become a sellout.
