Ritter Sport á la Mousse au Chocolat

It’s like a combination of German and French right here. The title of the bar continues on to say ‘mit feinherbem Kakao’, what a seemless transition from French to German right there.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that this is a Ritter Sport bar filled with chocolate mousse. Feinherbem is dark chocolate, not dark-dark, but more plain. That’s exactly what this bar is, a plain chocolate bar filled with a chocolate mousse.
So it sounds pretty good, but I felt it failed to live up to its expectations a little bit. The mousse was quite heavy, and not soft. I had the bar at room temperature but that didn’t seem like it was warm enough for the bar really. It tasted ok, a little plain obviously, but not bad. Overall it just wasn’t really that good and I felt a little disappointed by it. Surprising that I’ve reached this conclusion over a Ritter bar, but there’s a first time for everything.

Jim – What can I say, if for some reason I can’t take my own pictures (usually because I ate the thing without thinking) then I only source the best!

I can’t agree with your review. This is a pretty good bar. It’s not easy combining two kinds of chocolate (dark and mousse) into a product where one doesn’t overwhelm the other. The effect of this particular bar is a subtle taste that lasts on the tongue. And, as usual, not bad for 1,25 Euro.

My parents went to Europe a few weeks ago. They taste this bar. I’m trying to find them here in Canada. Tell me, do you know a places I can buy them on the internet ?
