Divine Milk Chocolate Easter Egg

I guess this does technically have a longer title, which would be ‘Divine Milk Chocolate Easter Egg with 6 hand finished milk chocolate Marc de Champagne Truffles’, but good lord that’s a long title. It does a good job of summarising this pretty looking box though.
First of all I’ll give kudos to Divine for packing this exceptionally well. Tons of bubble wrap, as well as bits stuffed inside the egg to make sure it didn’t get knocked about, what it resulted in was the egg and box in perfect shape. I do like the look of the box, it’s not too overpackaged as easter eggs normally are, and it’s all cardboard as well which can be recycled easily, rather than the massive amounts of plastic normally found in these things.

The egg looks like the standard fare, except the gold foil has a little ribbon on. I’m not sure why, but it looks nice enough. Usually when you have an easter egg from Mars or whatever the eggs themselves seem to taste, well, pretty bad. This though, tastes great. It seems like they use the same quality of chocolate found in their bars in this egg, there’s no compromise at all, it really was a super tasting egg.
The box of truffles that came with it were also a pleasant surprise. I’ve had some chocolates with alcohol or alcohol flavouring that have been quite strong, but to be honest if these hadn’t been described as Marc de Champagne truffles I wouldn’t have really known, the kick to these is pretty much non descript. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as they again tasted great, it just depends what you want from them really.
Overall, this is a top quality egg that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Divine have come up trumps with a great tasting egg and instead of just being lazy and throwing in one or two of their bars they’ve put something in that you can’t normally buy from them. Very impressive.
