Another organic, fair trade bar from Maestrani. This one is fairly ordinary milk chocolate, what more can I say?

The ingredients list is again quite reassuring, as there are hardly any. There’s hardly anything I can say about this bar though, it’s fairly ordinary milk chocolate, only it’s fair trade and organic, oh wait, I said that already…

The cocoa beans come from South America and the organic sugar comes from South Africa, and then the bar is made in Switzerland and shipped to Britain. Surely if you’re going to be organic and fair trade, shouldn’t you try and source products locally as well? I guess the cocoa beans are hard to do, and I have no idea how sugar processing goes, but it seems like a lot of work for a bar of chocolate.

The bar itself is nice though, as I said it’s relatively ordinary. Not fantastic, but I enjoyed it. Not really worth the purchase I think, Divine and Green & Black’s do the same thing, just go with them.
