Ritter Sport Orangenlikor Truffel

It doesn’t take a genius to know that this is orange liqueor truffle, part of Ritter’s alcohol truffle filled winter range. This particular one is made with Cointreau, which as I’ve found out before, is pretty good stuff.

The bar looks like fairly regular Ritter stuff, which is good. They never go for anything crazy, just the same format each time, and I like how inventive they can get. This isn’t terribly inventive but hey, you don’t see Cadbury or Mars doing this kinda stuff over here.

So we have our 100g Ritter square block, made up with lovely milk chocolate. The truffle inside is obviously quite soft and obviously quite orangey. It seems a little softer than usual, almost liquidy in some parts, and at those points the Cointreau is quite strong. The bar has a bit of a kick to it, but the orange isn’t too strong, and the alcohol isn’t too strong, it’s just nice and very well balanced.

Basically, it’s good Ritter stuff as always, I’d expect no less of them.
