The word ‘negro’ on the box makes me uncomfortable. Yes I know, negro means black, hence yada-yada-yada, but still, seems weird seeing ‘dark negro’ on the front of a box of chocolate. Oh well. This is obviously a dark chocolate from my new favourite chocolate manufacturers; Magnum.

This is actually the last in my 100g boxed chocolate collection from Magnum, which is a shame because the two I’ve had so far have been excellent. This is only 60% dark chocolate according to the back of the box, so I should be able to handle it. Exciting stuff here.

I have no idea why they call it a fondente essence. There doesn’t seem to be anything wildly different here than in the other bars. We have our now standard looking Magnum bar, chunky and awesome as always. It’s obviously a bit darker than normal, and then inside we have our truffle centre. It tastes a bit darker, but not too much at all, it still retains a lot of its milky flavour, probably from the truffle centre.

Overall, another delicious Magnum bar. I’m waiting for the bad ones, or the average ones, but so far they’ve all been really good. The truffle centre is a bit weird at times, and it doesn’t feel like it blends totally well with the chocolate shell, but it doesn’t take anything away from the overall quality here.
