I’ve previously had the Rich Matcha bar from Meiji, and found it to be a little overpowering. When I saw this though I decided to have another go with Meiji.

The bar comes in a shiny, yellow wrapper. It looks as tacky as the shiny, green Matcha bar, so I guess this is just their thing. The bar has a small picture of a bunch of bananas on a leaf, how…lovely? Yeah, we’ll go with that.

The bar itself is also yellow, not exactly surprising. It doesn’t look necessarily bad, like a white chocolate bar that’s a little off colour. The bar smells and tastes very strongly of banana. It’s quite artificial but incredibly strong in its flavour, and at some points fairly nice with its banana flavour.

I did find it a little bit overpowering though. I like bananas and all but this was a bit too much for me, I guess the ‘rich’ really is there for a reason. I’m still not overly fond of this particular range from Meiji, everything is a little bit too rich for my liking.
