Galaxy Amicelli

When I saw this attractive looking box at my local Tesco I couldn’t help but pick it up. I’ve only ever seen these at Christmas which would obviously suggest it’s a limited edition box, though there’s nothing on there to suggest that.

Amicelli, a very Italian sounding word, is a long finger of hazelnut praline, that’s then covered in a light wafer and further covered in Galaxy milk chocolate. Sounds yummy enough.

As I said, the box is what attracted me to this. It has a flap that opens up at the front, and a little window so you can see the 16 individually wrapped fingers within. It all just looks really nice. The colour scheme and look of the box screams Galaxy, with the brown and cream colours, it’s very easily noticeable.

The box is easily re-sealable, the flap just closes in, and I found myself having to do so what with there being so many. The taste was really nice, a light hazelnutty afair, and the wafer added a slightly interesting texture and, in fact, taste. These aren’t fantastic and they’re not really particularly innovative, but they’re certainly very nice and they look great. They’re also very affordable too, what with me only having to pay £1.50 for the box of 16.
