Hotel Chocolat’s Flirt

“A solid milk chocolate heart swirled with all-natural strawberry chocolate, pressed with strawberry coated white chocolate drops, then sprinkled with crushed meringue pieces.”

Sounds pretty good to me, the box comes in a nice, pink box, quite unsurprisingly. They tell you to “loosen the ribbon and let temptation out”, though the ribbon on the front is actually part of the box design, rather than being a ribbon itself. Instead what you want to loosen is the button on the tab of the box, and all you do is flick it up. Not quite the same thing.

The heart itself as you can see, looks pretty great. Hotel Chocolat’s presentation is always top notch and this is no different, and the chocolate blend is great to look at. The chocolate drops taste a little lacking, I’d prefer there to be more strawberry flavour as there basically isn’t any. The meringue pieces though had a bit of flavour which I really liked. The chocolate itself, well, it’s obviously great quality. Like the Caramel Sweethearts this is another fantastic edition to their Valentine’s range, and one I recommend trying.
