I love dark chocolate truffles and I am always trying different brands. I just found a 4oz box at my local TJ Max. They were on sale for $4. I tried my first one and was in heaven. They are not the most visually appealing, but they taste sensational. Not too bitter and not too sweet.

"all in all, not bad for the price..."
I thought they were a gift? Or is this some sort of subtle ironic humour?

Someone gave me a box of these as a gift and my initial reaction was, unfortunately, that they looked like goose turds. This only seemed to be reinforced by the name Duc d'O (duck do, analogous to doggy do? I hoped not).
Fighting my initial prejudices, I eventually tasted them and found they were fairly bland. Was able to consume the whole box without ill effect, so maybe they have their uses (richer chocolate can be sickening if consumed in large quantities). So, all in all, not bad for the price. But why can't I shake the feeling that we are having the piss taken out of us by some Belgian marketing team...
