Thorntons Xmas Pudding Bauble

I’ve never been a fan of Christmas pudding, but this is Xmas pudding, so I’m sure there’s a huge difference. This is a milk chocolate bauble that contained roasted almonds with a spicy chocolate, rum and brandy filling. It certainly sounds good.

Not only does this bauble contain flavourings, but it also contains antioxidants. Good ol’ antioxidants! How much? I have no idea, that would be telling, I suppose. The red packet looks alright, there’s also little snowflakes on the side of the wrapper, it all looks decent enough.

So like the other three baubles, this is a big round milk chocolate ball, with a thin chocolate shell and within is our truffle. The chocolate shell is the same, fairly ordinary stuff, there’s not much to comment on but it’s probably good that it doesn’t clash with the truffle.

The truffle itself is quite busy. The chocolate is indeed quite spicy and certainly boozy. With a rich flavour, there’s a lot going on and…I like it. I really like it in fact. Like I said, I’ve never liked Christmas pudding but I’ve never given it much of a chance. Maybe they need to mix Christmas pudding with chocolate more often because this is really good stuff. Spicy, nutty, fruity and chocolatey. The best of the lot and if you have to have one, have this.
