Thorntons Champagne Bauble

Thornton’s now have a bauble range, 4 of them in the range. They decided then that it would be a good idea to have a 3 for 2 offer with this range, leaving one spare, which I had to pick up at full price. Those money grubbing…
Anywho, I bought these online and thought they looked really small, until they got here and wow, now they look like they’re worth the 65p I paid for each one. This is a milk chocolate bauble with Louid Dornier champagne truffle filling.
I’ve never been much of a champagne fan, but I’ve had it on a few occasions and it is fairly nice. How will it fare in truffle form? Well, let us see. The wrapper is nice and shiny, kinda how champagne should be I guess, it’s nice and plain, just simply says what it is.

Now I know that picture is quite bad but it does show how this looks fairly well. A rather large, round ball with a thin milk chocolate shell. Within the shell is a dark truffle, that’s been flavoured with the champagne. Surprisingly well flavoured and balanced in fact, it had a champagne taste to it that I recognised and had a small kick to it. It was all gone a little bit too quickly but what was there was enjoyable and if this is an indication of the entire range then these would make good stocking fillers.
