Storck Toffifee

I thought Storck only made Riesen, but it turns out they make this stuff too. I’m pretty sure it’s a Christmas-only box here, as it does say ‘Merry Christmas’ on the front of the box. A toffifee is a hazelnut in a caramel cup with hazelnut chocolate filling, and then topped with chocolate. I reckon that sounds pretty good.
The box has 48 toffifees inside. 48!? That’s a huge amount! They look good on the front, and there’s a quite funny note on the side of the box saying that the toffifees pictured on the front are approximately 1.25 times bigger than the real things.
And it’s no joke, these things are tiny. Lift the lid off and you’re presented with a tray on top of a tray, with 24 toffifees inside each one. I’m not sure how they’re made but they’re all stuck to the tray, and you have to pop them up from the backside, it’s a bit annoying but probably for the best, better than rattling around and getting all damaged.
They taste pretty good. The caramel is well formed and looks like toffee, but has a soft consistency. The nut is pretty big and dominates the flavour, and the little chocolate topping seems more for show than anything else. Basically they just taste like hazelnut with a bit of a chocolate flavour, and that’s a pretty good thing as far as I’m concerned. Storck have done a decent job here, these are cheap (£2.90 for the box) and there’s loads here.

I got a box of 15 of these little things yesterday. They’re really nice, though I can’t seem to find the Nougat, just some Chocolate Hazelnut cream stuff like Nutella

Oh, I grew up with these and used to love them. I usually first got the nut out and then munched up the rest. Yum.
Just wondering about the size of them after your description. They used to be about 2cm wide. Are these smaller?
