Lindt Petits Desserts Selection
I’ve had a lot of Petit Desserts bars in the past, and now I have the opportunity to try a selection box with seven unique flavours here. There are three trays in this very well designed box, though each layer has the same flavours.
Each flavour is shown on the front of the box – chocolate log, macaroon, lemon tart, créme brulée, tiramisu, meringue and brownie. Each of these is uniquely shaped to represent how they normally look, the tiramisu for example is an exquisite work of art with its creamy looking topping.
The chocolate log is a fairly plain truffley chocolate covered in milk chocolate. It doesn’t taste great but isn’t offensive. Créme brulée is a creamy filling within a milk chocolate cup, it’s extremely soft, melty and creamy and tastes great. The brownie is another chocolatey, truffley special, except with little crunchy bits inside, though this one tastes much better than the chocolate log. The meringue has a hazelnut praline inside milk chocolate, with little meringue pieces. Not like any meringue I’ve had before but still very nice, and very European.
The macaroon is almost solid milk chocolate, with little crunchy pieces inside, and of course a very strong coconut taste. An obvious hit or miss flavour, it was a big hit for me. The tiramisu, as I mentioned earlier, looks amazing, just like a miniature tiramisu. The centre is again quite truffley and very strong with its coffee flavour, and just a little creamy too, I really enjoyed it. Last but certainly not least is the lemon tart, my favourite of the box. Similar to the créme brulée in terms of looks and make up, it’s a creamy lemon within milk chocolate, and it tastes so tangy and creamy, I absolutely loved it.
I was very impressed with the box, it was quite small but with three layers there was still a lot there. I’m sure if I got it for someone as a gift they’d be very impressed, and this box definitely did it for me.

To be honest, these weren’t my favourite either. I thought they were pleasant enough but I had better.
