Ummah Orange Chocolate Bar

November 28th, 2008 by Terry

I reviewed the caramel bar from Ummah Foods yesterday, and so I’ll skip all the blurb from then. Like yesterday this is a Halal bar though it doesn’t have the stamp, I actually had to look on the back to find out if it was or not, which is a bit strange.

This bar is similar to yesterday’s in as much as it’s exactly the same shape, it’s milk chocolate with an orange fondant creme centre. This obviously makes it quite sugary, and well…orangey, duh.

The bar was already broken up when I opened up, which made it easier for me to eat, but made the presentation a little poor. The bar is fairly similar to the Fry’s orange bar, the difference being that the milk chocolate here is of a better quality, and the bar is a fair bit bigger.

Like I mentioned, it’s sugary and orangey, it tastes quite artificial but it’s still fairly nice, just not particularly great, which about sums both the Ummah bars up.

I’ve never have halvah before, but I’ll have to give it a go–maybe I should start out with plain, though.

I have a candy blog as well; may I add you to my blog roll?

I’m an idiot, I read this while studying and read “hallal” as “halvah”. So I take back that part of the comment, but would still like to have you on my blog roll, lol.
