Finessa Chocolate Marzipan Bar

November 24th, 2008 by Terry

“Finessa Marzipan is the noble classic chocolate, with a tenderness of a limitless enjoyment.” Wow, bloody hell, that’s some of the weirdest blurb I’ve ever read. This Kraft owned company (very noble) produces a few bars, this one being a milk chocolate bar filled with marzipan.

The packet looks very plain. A green theme, it has a little picture of the bar on the front, it looks fairly, well like I said, plain. There’s information on the back but it’s all in German. So I guess I should just start eating this 100g bar.

The bar itself is again, very plain looking. It’s quite thin and has no breakable pieces, instead being one big slab. Within the thin layer of milk chocolate is obviously the marzipan. The chocolate isn’t creamy at all, neither does it have a taste, it’s all about the marzipan. The marzipan is quite chunky and bitty, and tastes like plain ol’ marzipan really.

Overall, it’s an ok bar. I prefer the stuff I’ve had from Ritter and Milka, though this wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t that good. Noble? Classic? Tender? I have no idea about any of that.
