Hershey’s Caramel Apple Kisses

November 21st, 2008 by Terry

Another very American edition here, like yesterday’s Candy Corn kisses. Here we have milk chocolate kisses that have been naturally and artificially flavoured with apple flavoured caramel. I’ve had a caramel apple (I think we call them toffee apples here) once in my life so I’m not familiar with them, but I am excited about this in a strange way.

The 283g bag contains, of course, many of these foil wrapped kisses. There’s a bit of blurb on the back saying basically that these are meant as a gift. Haha. I’d be insulted if someone handed me a bag of Hershey’s Kisses, and I’d probably backhand them across the face. Worst gift ever.

These though, are a little bit different. The foil wrappers are red and orange. The kisses themselves are their standard shape, with a thin milk chocolate shell. Within the shell is some thin caramel with a very strong apple flavour. Like the candy corn kisses I feel like I probably shouldn’t like these and yet I really do. Really do! The apple flavour is artificial and yet very nice, the caramel comes through sometimes, but it’s mainly apple. The chocolate is tasteless but sweet, it’s all about the apple here, and boy do I like artificial apple flavour.

Definitely one for apple lovers, so certainly not for everyone, but definitely for me.

    Where did you get these??

These were a walmart exclusive in fall 2008. Like all the liquid center kisses, they’re best from the freezer. They’ll probably bring them back next year.
