Milka Caramel
Ah, delicious gefullt mit caramelcréme, I cannot wait. This is a milk chocolate Milka bar with runny caramel inside as well as a thicker caramel créme centre, much like their yoghurt or chocolate cream fillings from bars of ye olde times.
This particular bar is from Austria and is another bar as part of the big box of goodies from Dietmar at Austian Shop, despite caramel and milk chocolate being a bit of a boring combo in my opinion these days, it seems like Milka have put their own twist on it and I get the feeling this is gonna be a very good bar.
So it’s the usual plastic wrapper, on the front the picture looks nice, you can see that the caramel looks very runny, and is in little deposits within the thick créme centre. This is in fact exactly how the bar works, and it’s very interesting.
So we have a milk chocolate bar, with a thick créme centre and then little sections of runny caramel in it. The whole thing is very sweet and well, caramelly. The thing here is that you can really taste the caramel unlike our British bars where caramel is so boring and tasteless. It’s the primary taste here and is so sweet and tasty, I absolutely loved it.
I can’t emphasise enough how sick I am of caramel and milk chocolate bars, and yet how much I thoroughly enjoyed this. It did things completely differently, the créme centre was thick and delicious, and the caramel deposits were randomly placed and it added a really nice element to it. The bar had a nice, strong flavour to it and for some people it might be overly sweet, but this just did it for me. Pure and simple, a real winner.
