Hershey’s New York Cheesecake Kisses

October 24th, 2008 by Terry

“Extra creamy” milk chocolate kisses filled with “New York cheesecake flavoured creme”. Yum? Well I’m a cheesecake fan but I don’t know much about New York cheesecake or how on earth Hershey’s would manage to turn it into creme form and fill their rubbish ‘chocolate’ with it. I guess there’s only one way to find out.

So after researching cheesecake, I found that New York cheesecake relies upon heavy cream, cream cheese and eggs to add richness, and if you don’t like that description then take it up with Wikipedia. So basically it’s a fat man’s creamcake rather than cheesecake. Yum.

Oddly enough though, these are actually really nice. They feel like they shouldn’t be, with the chocolate being quite greasy and the creme filling feeling, tasting and just being, for lack of a better word, weird. It’s quite creamy tasting and mixes really well with the chocolate, and I guess it is kinda cheesecakey, and I love cheesecake (lemon to be specific).

This though is regular cheesecake flavour and it’s still darn good. These are really moreish and like I said, they feel like they shouldn’t taste nice but they are. Simple as that. They’re limited edition too so give them a go if you can.
