Milka Alpine Milk Chocolate Cream Bar

September 29th, 2008 by Terry

Back to our plastic wrappers. Here we have a milk chocolate bar from Milka that has a cream flavour filling (50%) in the middle. Sounds delicious to me, though 100g may be a bit too much.

On the front as you can see it has the usual few pieces of chocolate as well as a big dollop of whipped cream. There’s really not much else I can talk about that I haven’t already mentioned with Milka bars so I guess we’ll just get stuck in.

Bleh, now is it just me or does it look like this bar has half melted? Room temperature, stored in a container, and that’s not enough? Oh well. This uses the big chunk format which I’ve spoken about before, which Milka do whenever there’s a filling within the bar.

Wait, there’s a filling in this bar? I never would have guessed from the taste or texture. It tastes quite plain, a little creamy but not to the extent of Lindor or anything, just like a slightly creamy milk chocolate bar. It’s really quite disappointing as this was the bar I expected the most from, and it’s the bar I got the least from.

I’d rather have the milk chocolate bar over this, at least it didn’t disappoint, and it doesn’t look like crap either. There’s nothing here that makes me wanna buy this again. Each 100g bar has 605 calories, 5.4g Protein, 45.5g Carbohydrates (44.5g of which sugars) and 44.5g Fat (25.5g of which saturates).
