Ritter Sport Neapolitaner Waffel

September 1st, 2008 by Terry

And now we have a Ritter Sport line up. Neapolitaner Waffel mit knusprig-feiner. Waffelspezialitat in Edel-Nugat. All of that just on the front of the wrapper! My oh my. A Ritter Sport with a chocolate wafer then from what I can gather from the picture, similar looking to a Kit Kat.

So you open the bar up and we have the usual 4×4 Ritter Sport chunky grid. What the bar ends up being is almost like a premium Kit Kat. It has the milk chocolate coating, and then inside is some wafer, with thick chocolate creme within the wafer. It tastes nougat-like, hence the “Edel-Nugat” on the front, I guess.

At room temperature the bar is very soft, and the chocolate and the creme melted almost instantly in my mouth, and it all pulled apart very sloppily, but it almost added to the experience. The chocolate is nice as always, the nougat creme is the main flavour without being overbearing, and the wafer adds a nice consistency and uses up space which would have otherwise been used by chocolate or creme (which would have made it far too sickly). Very nice, well worth a look.

Listen to Terry struggle with long German words!

Mmmh, I have to get this when I go to Germany over Christmas. You made it sound really appetising even though I’m tempted to stick it into the fridge before eating as I don’t like it when it’s too soft.

Loved your sound piece, but you have to work on your German, mate!!! :P LOL, it was fine all in all!
