Milka Kuhflecken

August 28th, 2008 by Terry

Delicious Kuhflecken! Translated to cow flecks, this is a milk chocolate Milka bar with flecks of white chocolate, similar to the pattern on a cow. From the look of the bar on the package the white chocolate doesn’t run too deep, almost as if it’s more for show than for actual taste, but there’s only one way to find out.

Milka’s symbol is a cow, so I’ve got to say it’s a nice touch that they did this bar actually. I can’t think of many other companies with symbols or animals that they use and that they can make clever bars from. Oh well.

So opening the bar up and the underside is entirely milk chocolate. Turn it over and…wow! The bar looks amazing, the white chocolate splattered all around the milk chocolate, seemingly at random. I can see that it runs deep, though after breaking a chunk off I could see that the white chocolate was simply splattered on the top, rather than mixed into the milk chocolate.

So some of the pieces are fully milk chocolate, and others are 90% milk chocolate with just that little bit of white chocolate covering. The white chocolate does sometimes come in but not enough really, even on the “heavy” chunks. It is a really nice bar, and it’s really pretty, not sure if it’s worth the import but as always Milka have done a fantastic job here. Each 100g bar has 530 calories, 6.3g Protein, 59g Carbohydrates and 29.5g Fat.

More Terry. More!

I’ve had this one! It’s brilliant, like eating a cow but with less death. Awesomeness.

Allie – But the death is the best part of eating a cow.

I thought the best part was the burger bun (with sesame seeds).
