Milka die 70er á la Nussecke

August 21st, 2008 by Terry

I mentioned the “die…” range yesterday, and here we are with another bar from it! I’ve done the 50s and the 60s, and now we have a taste of the 70s: Nussecke, which looks like either honeycomb or corn.

So I decided to not do any research with this bar and instead just open it up and see if I could tell what was going on. Well, the first good thing to note is that the chocolate is of an extremely good quality. No blooming which somewhat marred my previous “die…” bars. It smells great, quite nutty and chocolatey.

The bar has a truffle-like texture to it with crunchy pieces within. The chocolate has a very strong taste to it, though it is milk chocolate it tastes intense and delicious. The bar tastes very nutty and praline-like, and I decided it was finally time to get an official word on what this bar is about.

Turns out it’s nougat with biscuit pieces, so I was close. I didn’t think the crunchy pieces added much taste, but now knowing what they were, I could see that there was a very slight biscuitty taste to it, and the nougat flavour is definitely what was there for me to taste.

Overall a very nice bar as always, Milka never disappoint it seems, and it’s worth trying out.
