Kinder Bueno White

July 28th, 2008 by Terry

This was requested a fair bit ago, the white chocolate Kinder Bueno, and I’ve finally got round to it. It follows the exact same format as the regular Kinder Bueno, only with white chocolate covering the wafer and hazelnut cream filling.

Kinder Buenos are a particular favourite of mine, I’ve always been fond of them. Despite the fact they’re marketed towards women and certainly feel like a light, girly snack, that’s never put me off them. They are very sweet though, and I’m unsure of how white chocolate will work, let’s open it up and find out.

Wow, now is it just me or do those look amazing? If my webcam was better you’d be able to see that those brown stripes are actually little cocoa pebbles, which do of course break off everywhere. They remind me a bit of the Happy Hippos as those little things follow a similar format. Frankly I’m in love with these already though.

And even moreso after the taste. Deliciousness personified. The white chocolate is sweet and creamy along with the hazelnut, but everytime you bite a piece, that cocoa stripe is going right on your tongue and giving you a big cocoa flavour hit, and it balances out evenly. The cocoa doesn’t taste great when left to sit on the tongue for too long, but when given just a second before bitten and mixed with the chocolate and hazelnut, it creates a delicious flavour combo.

Overall, a worthy edition to the Kinder range. One I would recommend and buy again myself, check these out unless you really, really hate white chocolate, and even then it’ll still tempt you. Each stick (two in a pack) has 120 calories, 1.5g Protein, 11.3g Carbohydrates and 7.6g Fat.

I like your blog, but I do wish you would stop labeling candy as “for women” and “for men”. This isn’t the 19th century, you know…

J – Take a look at their marketing scheme, adverts and website. Kinder Buenos, like Diet Coke, are very obviously marketed TOWARDS women, not FOR women.

    OK, you have a point.

I do believe they marked different products for each gender, that is not sexist, it’s just that women and men are different! Which means different tastes! But of course, as you Terry show here, men can like the “girly” products, no shame in that. Just means that the company didn’t think most men would like it.

I am not a big fan of white chocolate, but I am a huge fan of Bueno. If I see, I’ll get tempted I guess..

Love Kinder Buenos- you can get them at the ice cream van outside school for 50p . They’re my fave chocolate bars, but I’d never tried the white until today- loved it. Only reason I haven’t tried it before is because the van doesn’t sell them. Bueno White? LOVE IT! >.<
