What all those other chocolate bloggers are blogging about

June 15th, 2008 by Terry

I’ve never done a chocolate blogging round up before, but it’s a slow day for news so I figure I’ll experiment with this, and here’s my roundup of what a bunch of chocolate bloggers are up to (or at least the ones I could find and cared about), expect much sarcasm and poor humour here.

The guys over at Candy Addict have employed three more slaves to churn out reviews, I assure you The Chocolate Review is staying a solo mission.

Cybele at Candy Blog has been munching down some Dove Chocolate, I remember Dove being mentioned in American Psycho (the book) and so I have a strange association between it and serial killers. Fascinating, no?

Candy Yum Yum has been greedily eating lots of free samples. Why haven’t I got any of these samples? Am I not good enough for them? I see how it is, don’t you worry, I see.

The Chocablog team is expanding once more, not satisfied with their stranglehold on weird, Eastern European chocolate, they’ve now turned their attention to America with their new guest blogger, Deana. I must say her review was very in depth, though lacked any sort of humour which is something I always like in my reviews, must try harder.

Jim at Chocolate Mission, when he’s not busy commenting on every single website in existence (I’ve been watching you) has decided to ride the Milka blogging wave by, well, blogging about Milka. He actually had to pay for that bar too! Wonders never cease.

The Girl Tastes, when she’s not busy ignoring my solitary email and comment, has been baking some Snickerdoodles, which I must say do actually have the dumbest sounding name in existence. No offense.

Rosa at ZOMG, Candy! has eaten one of those Meiji bars I reviewed before. Oh what a surprise, she didn’t like it either. Meiji, you are a failure.

And Amanda at Choklit has been reviewing…oh…Milka.

I’m done now. I don’t care about anyone else.

As long as you didn’t take offence at anything Jim, it’s all in good humour and in actual fact I’m a little jealous of how you get samples and how much more organised you are with the whole shabang than I was back when I first started (and heck, even now). Honestly you’re doing a great job.

I’m just honoured to be included in the ones that you “care about” Terry :)

    Feel the love indeed . . .

Lottie - What can I say? I love being a part (read: apart) of the community.

Amanda - I like how after I posted this you reviewed another Milka bar. Coincidence? Most definitely, but it did make me chuckle. And I did! I didn’t have you on my blogroll so I actually had to check through old posts to find a comment of yours, feel the love!

Terry dont be silly it was obvious this was all very much tongue in cheek. Thanks for the nice comments on CM - and in regards to samples..just blanket e-mail companies…thats what I did and got lucky with some. The only ones to send back a stroppy e-mail were those bastards at CyberCandy..bastards I tell thee! CandyPirate/Sweetstall are the guys i deal with most they are pretty awesome in that they send me the samples but I get to tell it how it is…so if its rubbish i say so. Ive been an everyday reader of CR for nearly a year now…you were doing a cracking job then and you still are now! Cheers
