Cadbury’s launches chocolate flavoured chewing gum

June 14th, 2008 by Terry

This kinda thing reminds me of the ham flavoured gum in Futurama. Anyway, original article is here, but there’s a lot of stuff there that’s irrelevant, so here’s the quote:

We have heard of Branston Beans and curry-flavoured Kit Kat, but now Cadbury’s has launched a chocolate- flavoured chewing gum. Trident Sweet Kicks, which is aimed at women, is “all about enjoying life’s little pleasures”, crows Trevor Bond, head of Cadbury Britain and Ireland. I wonder what women will make of the gelatine, glazing agent, various E numbers and six sweeteners. “Excessive consumption may produce laxative effects,” says a warning on the box.

Wait, Branston Beans and curry-flavoured Kit Kat? What? When was this? Forget the gum, I want to know more about the Kit Kat? That sounds utterly, utterly horrific.

“You have the bravery of a hero and breath as fresh as a summer ham.” Was laughing out loud. Awesome reference!

Someone gets it! I couldn’t remember the quote but thanks, it always makes me laugh. What a great show.
