Ritter Sport Vollmilch
So we now have six Ritter Sport reviews, sorry. The first is vollmilch, which is milk chocolate.
The Ritter Sport range is perhaps Germany’s most famed range of chocolate, along with Milka.
Obviously being a milk chocolate bar means I can’t comment on this too much, because there isn’t too much to say, but I’ll do what I can. The bar has 30% cocoa solids and uses whole milk and cream powder, and it really shows with the taste.
The bar is very creamy, not so much milky, but it definitely carries a creamy flavour, almost more so than the chocolate. It’s actually really, really good and is a welcome change from some of the very ordinary milk chocolate I’ve had in the past.
Overall, I recommend this. I’m sure there’s better in the Ritter Sport range but this is definitely a good start, it’s very nice and definitely worth a look at.

I actually bought a bar of this today to try for the first time..quite alarming you’re reviewing it aswell! I got the praline one, hope its tasty.
Also those milka bars you reviewed, they’re based on popular desserts of the 50′s,60′s etc hence the name. Dunno if you already knew that or not!
p.s. I love this site!

Lottie – It was a mere coincidence I’m sure, or was it? Praline one is good, I’ve had that before but didn’t review it (I do sometimes do that!)
I did know that, I remember reading it after I put the reviews up but it wasn’t worth editing. I had no idea vanilla pudding was THE dessert of the 50′s but…there we go! And thanks.
James – Damn you, I don’t have the cappuccino one! I *could* go and find it, but I probably won’t for awhile.

I always thought Milka was a Swiss company – was I mislead by their marketing??? *looking puzzled*

Sylke – My mistake, Milka are a Swiss company but they seem to have a big influence in Germany and some other areas of Europe.

Oh, the have a huge market in Germany, so it wouldn’t have been that surprising after all…
