Ferrero Yogurette

June 4th, 2008 by Terry

Another German product here, this is straight from Ferrero of Germany (obviously famed for their Rocher range over here, as well as being the owner of Kinder). Here we have what seem to be strawberry and yoghurt sticks covered in milk chocolate, or at least I assume so.

So in the box you get eight of these pink sticks. They’re only bitesize but they look quite thick. As you can see they have a pink filling, but smell entirely of chocolate, the taste though is almost the complete opposite.

I say that because you can hardly taste the chocolate, instead it’s the rich, yoghurty strawberry. There’s plain white yoghurt in there which has a vanilla taste, and there are strawberry bits riddled within that obviously give it the strawberry flavour.

The yoghurt gives the sticks a weird feeling in my mouth, almost heavy and fat-like on the roof of my mouth which I really dislike, but these are so good I can let them off.

It basically tastes like a strawberry yoghurt with chocolate mixed in. Three German chocolate reviews now and they’ve all been amazing, why don’t we have stuff like this here?

Oh, I love these!!! Grew up with them. They are very sweet but so moreish.
There is a very similar product to this which you can get at Lidl and in Germany you can Yogurette at Aldi, so I’m wondering does UK Aldi do this one too? Might be worth a trip…

Sylke - If my nearest Lidl and Aldi weren’t so far away (a 30 mile round trek) I’d check myself, but I’ll leave it up to you!
