Snickers Xtreme
XTREEEEEEEEME! Snickers Xtreme with an “Xtreme amount of peanuts”! I’m so pumped guys! Argh, goddamn, this bar has 5 GRAMS OF PROTEIN! And it’s LIMITED EDITION! And it’s…uhh…got an XTREME GUARANTEE OF QUALITY AND FRESHNESS! YEEEEEAH!
Ok, enough of that. I hate the word “extreme” or “xtreme”, it’s not used at all here in Britain but I see it in some movies, like Harold and Kumar, and the idea seems ridiculous to me. Snickers have tried to cash in on it though with this limited edition peanut and caramel bar. But wait, isn’t the normal Snickers peanuts and caramel? What’s the difference here? Let’s open this up.
So I should have used a knife to cut it, but I figured it would be more XTREME of me to use my bear hands. MANLY! Now normally the Snickers has peanuts, caramel and nougat. The Snickers XTREME has all caramel in the middle, with an XTREME amount of peanuts added in.
The caramel is XTREMEly tough and thick, and almost takes on a nougat-like consistency. The peanuts are as XTREME as you’d expect them to be, and overall this bar put hair on my chest, made my muscles bulge and made me want to go outside and kick children and eat kittens.
In all seriousness, I actually really liked this. It was gone in about 4 bites, but they were big bites. I felt full after eating this, and jokes aside, if it’s still about, I’d say it’s worth a look, I just wish the advertising wasn’t so ridiculously off putting.
Each 58.7g bar has 290 calories (140 from fat), 5g Protein, 33g Carbohydrates (27g of which sugars) and 16g Fat (6g of which saturates).

Your review did make me giggle this morning
The nougat bit of the Snickers has always been my least favourite bit, so this looks fantastic from my point of view!

XTREME-ly funny review! This would be like a funsize milky way to Chuck Norris though.

Amanda – Glad I gave you a good start to the day. And yeah like I said it was a good bar, just the advertising was ridonculous.
Ellie – Thank you! I was tempted to throw a Chuck Norris joke in there but as an internet addict I’m well aware that fad died about two years ago and I would be ridiculed if I was to make a reference.

chuck norris would roundhouse kick you for suggesting anything related to him in any way had gone out of date.

Please let the Chuck Norris thing die – you can’t log into WoW without at least one reference! I loved the Xtreme bar when it was out here. But I never watch telly or read mashed tree editions of magazines so I totally miss the advertising!

Ellie – Pretty sure his roundhouse kicks themselves are out of date by now, he must be like 200.
Sera – Thank you thank you, perhaps I try this hard with my future reviews, heck it’s only taken me what…15 months to make people laugh.
Anabels – Can’t say I’ve ever played WoW, I may be a huge gamer but MMORPGs seem like nothing but epic wastes of time to me. And that’s a shame, I can totally imagine those hardcore kids from Harold and Kumar ripping into these.
