Divine Mint Dark Chocolate Bar

May 20th, 2008 by Terry

Woo, mint flavour! This bar only has 5% peppermint crisp, with the other 95% being made up of 70% minimum cocoa solids dark chocolate. A nice green and black theme, this bar looks quite pretty.

Once again no need to go into details on the Divine fairtrade mission, just see an earlier post or their website, but the same situation is that it falls into their Fairtrade standards.

The bar itself was a bit cracked when I opened it up. Hardly any scuff marks this time, but still cracked and so a bit of a disappointment in that respect. It looks nice and dark and has a very satisfying cracking sound when broken up or tapped.

The bar is riddled with very small pieces of peppermint crisp, which is like little crisp nuggets of peppermint. What this means is that the bar has, again, a very even distribution of flavour. Each piece has a few nuggets of peppermint, enough to give the bar a good balance with the tastes of chocolate and peppermint.

Overall, this is again a really good bar. It’s well made, not too dark at all, and is quite sweet because of the mint. The flavours combine well without becoming sickly, and I don’t think this could really be much better.

Hi Terry im really enjoying your reviews of the Divine Range at the minute.

You seem to be trying all the favours that I havent got my hands on yet. I was slightly disapointed with the Milk chocolate/white chocolate versions but you have given me an incetive to go back and give the range another try…just got to try and find some time to review it now I guess.

Great work as ever Terry – keep it up
