Niederegger Filled Chocolate Eggs
The first of three Niederegger products I was sent by the lovely guys at ChocolatesDirect. None of them are even listed on ChocolatesDirect, or Niederegger’s websites so I was thinking of not reviewing them but…I am.
My main reason for not reviewing them was that I had no idea what the titles of each was, I decided to go with this because it says it around the box, as well as its German translation. This is an egg shaped gift box with nine of the pictures chocolate filled eggs inside.
The entire box is 150g, making each egg about 16-17g, i.e. half the weight of a Creme Egg. This makes them obviously quite light, but surprisingly, they’re actually about the same size. The chocolate is much less thick, and the filling is somewhat akin to Lindt’s melty chocolate filling.
Niederegger are known for their marzipan, but there’s none here. The filling is actually quite nutty, it’s almost in a liquid state, and melts in the mouth. The chocolate is of a great quality, and overall these are nothing short of being absolutely delicious.
I pray that Niederegger haven’t stopped making these, because it’s a crying shame if they have, if you like praline, you will love these.

Is it purple or is that just me. They sound delicious though, purple, orange or blue.
