Betta Raspberry Liquorice

April 18th, 2008 by Terry

So our final Betta liquorice review, again we continue the theme of a fruity liquorice log covered in milk chocolate, and no doubt our findings will be similar to yesterday’s.

Raspberry, or red liquorice is a favourite of mine. It’s the usual case of when done well, it’s very good indeed. This log uses the same 75/25% combo of liquorice/chocolate that the other logs did, so what was I saying about the same findings?

Well yes, I was right. This bar is definitely mainly raspberry, with chocolate entering the fray every so often. They mix well, but there’s not really enough chocolate there for it to be worthwhile, and so I say the same thing again about this bar.

If you’re looking for a low calorie, fruity chocolate fix, this is it for you. If not, perhaps stick to RJ’s ordinary raspberry liquorice. Each log has 153 calories, 1.2g Protein, 28.6g Carbohydrates (24.6g of which sugars) and 3.4g Fat (2.4g of which saturates).

  1. where can i get them

    Hello,

I am frantically trying to find these liquorice chocolate logs for my father who has recently become infatuated with them and wont rest until he finds more.

unfortunately in the UK they can not be found anywhere. could you advise me of a website I might go to to find out how to order some? I have searched a bit on the internet and this is the most relevant page I could find.

    Thank you

    Stevie

That’s the company who sent me these for sampling, and I haven’t seen anyone else sell them, so they may be your best shot.
