White Rabbit Red Bean Creamy Candy

And now for the only other White Rabbit candies I’ve ever had, the same format as yesterday, only with the quintessential Oriental red bean flavour filled inside the sweets.

Red bean is something I’ve had a few times in the past, both as more of a flavour in things such as the Azuki Bean Kit Kats, and as an actual filling in my Japanese Rice Cakes. I quite like it, it’s sweet and doesn’t have too much of a taste, just a slight nuttyness that I find quite pleasant.

I wasn’t sure how it would mix with these though. The sweets are small, and so would have to be packed with the stuff in order to get any flavour, which may mean it overpowers the vanilla taste. This is what they have done, and that is what the conclusion is.

You have the red bean filling here, only in my opinion, there’s too much of it. Maybe a flavouring would have been better, though I do appreciate the effort they went too in order to actually use a proper filling.

They’re not bad, but you have to like red beans a fair bit to really like these. I found them to be a bit too much, and just didn’t really like them.

    Hmmm…

I’m not much one for asian candy… but I may try it just for the hell of it.
