Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa Dark Noir

Last Lindt Excellence bar…for now at least. This bar is pretty self explanatory, just a 70% cocoa solids, plain dark chocolate bar from Lindt. Billed as both “Extra fine dark chocolate” and in a foreign language “Chocolate negro (let’s not go there…) extrafino”.

Like the Guylian version of this bar, I probably wouldn’t have been interested in this if I wasn’t doing this website, but there we go.

Opening the wrapper reveals the bar, 10 pieces as usual. And quite honestly, I was actually surprised by this bar. In complete contrast to the Guylain bar, this bar is quite palletable, it’s got the dark chocolate flavour with none of the bitterness. It’s quite sweet and really enjoyable, with a slight smoky flavour and a deep taste.

Overall, a really nice bar. Despite being 70%, this is something that I would recommend this to those of you who perhaps are a little uninitiated with dark chocolate and are looking for something to start with. Those of you with a taste for dark chocolate may find it a little too sweet, but personally I was very impressed.

The 100g bar has 520 calories, 8g Protein, 33g Carbohydrates (28g of which sugars) and 40g Fat (24g of which saturates).
