Lindt Excellence Coffee Intense

So another Lindt Excellence bar, one I’ve had in the past before I started this website and didn’t like too much, but fingers crossed my taste buds have become a bit more refined in the year since then.

Like the Orange Intense bar yesterday, while this bar looks great from the outside, when the ingredients are read, it turns out this only has 1% Arabica Coffee inside. Granted yesterday’s only had 2% orange pieces and delivered a huge taste, so perhaps this is nothing to worry about.

And indeed, the 1% does in fact allow this bar to be filled with small coffee granules, which was a bit of a surprise, making this a slightly crunchy bar. It’s also a very rich bar, the deep coffee flavour and dark chocolate are both rich, bitter flavours, and one must have a taste for this kind of thing, otherwise it may be too much for you.

Did I like it? Yeah, I did. I don’t know if I’d have it again, but this a good quality coffee bar, of which there aren’t many around. To dark chocolate lovers, and coffee lovers, this could be right up your street.

I love the coffee/chocolate combo, chocolate covered espresso beans - the bestest.

They’re definitely good for a late night pick-me-up, if nothing else.
