Galaxy Mini Eggs

Galaxy Mini Eggs1

So the first review in my run up to Easter week! All Easter themed, limited edition products to be reviewed this week. ‘Little eggs of smooth Galaxy milk chocolate’ is what these are billed as, and after eating the entire packet of these, I really could not have put it any better.

Galaxy, like Kinder Bueno and Diet Coke, is a product aimed primarily at women. This is made pretty obvious by their packaging; nice pretty flowers, inoffensive colouring and so forth, as well their marketing on the back. I won’t go into great depth but suffice it to say it’s very obviously aimed at women.

But what are these? Oh wait, I said already. They’re little eggs of smooth Galaxy milk chocolate, little foil wrapped, solid milk chocolate eggs. A limited Easter edition, and in my opinion, really quite pointless.

I’m all for limited edition chocolate, in fact I love it and we don’t have enough of it here in Britain, but this is just a waste of time. It’s just the Galaxy bar repackaged as little chocolate eggs, I really don’t see the point.

They’re nice enough, I like Galaxy chocolate, and prefer it to Dairy Milk chocolate with which I think is the ideal brand to make a comparison to. It’s nice and creamy, inoffensive in its taste, but overall a little plain and lacking in anything that makes me want to go back for seconds.

Overall, a nice little gift for the kiddies for Easter, but that’s about it really. Each bag has 542 calories, 6.9g Protein, 56.6g Carbohydrates (56.1g of which sugars) and 31.9g Fat (19.4g of which saturates). I picked the bag up for £1 from Asda, and haven’t paid enough attention to look for these elsewhere.
