An Australian Kit Kat edition. The Temptations range is a Kit Kat in a bar form, made up of six pods, which are filled with the creme of whichever flavour each edition is, in this case, Cafe Latte.

I realised that this was hard to explain, and fortunately I think my webcam was up to the task of capturing just what these look like. Surprisingly enough, there’s actually no wafer in these at all, it’s just chocolate filled with layers of thick creme.

What that makes this is a bitesize bar, each piece can be eaten in one bite, and considering how sickly it is, I don’t recommend eating it all at once. The bar is incredibly sweet, with the cafe latte being of course a very sweet flavour, as opposed to the more bitter coffee flavour found in say, a Lindt bar.

The pods are very thick and almost stodgy. They pack a lot of flavour as well as being sweet and filling, and found that when I had a sweet tooth, these hit the spot very quickly, almost too quickly. I quite liked this bar, though I wouldn’t bother importing it, and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it unless you have a major sweet tooth, and quite enjoy your coffee.

P.S. After reading the wrapper, it turns out this does have wafer in! A complete shock to me, perhaps I had a dud bar but I could not detect one hint of wafer in any of my pods. Perhaps anyone who’s tried this can discuss this further.

when we were little in school, it was a big deal if someone in the class found that one of the sticks of their kitkat had no wafer in it and was just solid chocolate - you were ’soooooo lucky’. If that’s the case, why didn’t we just get a yorkie! thrill of the wafer chase perhaps.

It was the same for us, and I thought the exact same thing! It’s like…I bought the Kit Kat for some hot wafer on chocolate action, not all chocolate, that’s not the point of it! I still know people that get way too excited when that happens to them though…

    same over here!

it works with other chocalate treats too….

    caramel-free rolo, anyone?

  4. ellie

alice - YES!! we absolutely lost it over solid rolos. and occasionally the end of a twix or mars bar was caramel-less too. (where is ‘over here’ by the way? i want to see how far this absurd choccie attitude stretches!)

terry - ‘hot wafer on chocolate action’ - lmao! you make it sound so filthy! you can also add me to your list of people who get genuinely excited over being denied the filling for which they have paid.

That was actually the point, ellie, I figured you would appreciate it. And I shall add you to my blacklist, I hope you’re ashamed of yourself!

I think so…very perplexing. I don’t know what to say really other than a lame “that sucks”. :\
