From Japan comes this green themed, green tea based milk chocolate bar. Konacha is a type of green tea that is powdered, and hence cannot count as matcha, which has to be ground, and not pulverised. “Relaxation amidst the big city hustle and bustle. Living in harmony is a tradition in Japan. It is this quest for equilibrium and for nature which sooths the taste buds. This chocolate shows its green and tender side, a step toward the calm face of the rising sun.”

The usual type of bigging up there, though there are some truths there, as I found this to be quite a harmonic bar. The bar has 5% green tea, which is quite a fair amount, and it means you can almost feel it there, as it didn’t feel totally smooth to me. The flavour though is what you’d expect from a green tea bar, creamy and sort of musky, sweet and yet slightly, ever so slightly bitter. It has a good, rich flavour, though it’s definitely not a bar for anyone.

I love green tea, I’ve mentioned in a previous review that I enjoy it, and this bar satisfied me. I would recommend this to people who may not even like green tea that much, as it’s got the flavour of it but without the bitterness, as long as you like tea in general then I feel there’s something here for you.
