“Very different flavours that come together to create a quite gentle, almost sweet alchemy, which becomes aromatic, spicy and hot. Full of emotion…”

So, yesterday’s bar was from Morocco, today’s is from Brazil. The pink peppers are obtained from Brazilian tropical forests, not that it necessarily makes a difference.

The dark chocolate is only 60% cocoa solids, so it’s not too dark, but the bar is filled with tiny, crunchy little pink peppercorns. The bar uses little pieces of the pink peppercorns as opposed to whole ones, most likely due to the size and thickness of the bar, which is basically small in both aspects.

I thought this bar was…ok, it’s different to a chilli bar, I feel this had more taste to it and more spiciness, but I think the actual flavour of the pink eppercorns is just a little odd. I’ve had them before in sauces with meals, such as swordfish, but with chocolate it’s a different experience entirely, and one that I liked but didn’t love.
