Dolfin Milk Chocolate with Green Tea & Jasmin

So, after reviewing six plain milk and dark chocolate bars sent to me from Chocolates Direct, I get to move onto the eight Dolfin bars they sent me. Dolfin are a gourmet chocolate manufacturing company, using ingredients and flavours from all around the world to create some very adventurous bars. The first of which I shall review is a Moroccan bar.
And it’s definitely a strange one, combining milk chocolate, jasmine and green tea. It doesn’t say what type of green tea which no doubt would make a difference, as there are many different types. Jasmine is of course a flower and hence this means there is a lot going on in this bar.
First, you have the milk chocolate – well crafted and creamy, then with the jasmine you have yourself a pleasant, floral taste. And with the green tea you have a musky undertone. Combine these together and in my opinion, you have yourself a very tasty bar. I really enjoyed this, though I can imagine there would be too much going on for most people.

Oh, I LOVE this line! There was only one that I didn’t like, it was the one with the white peppercorns in it. Happy to see you’re reviewing them!

Agreed, Sera. I think that might have been one I didn’t like too much either. I ate them all back in November so I’m working with little Notepad notes I wrote back then, I just couldn’t help myself!

This almost sounds like a better combination for dark chocolate. I’ve been seeing a lot of green tea used in chocolate lately; good point about the different types of green teas.

At the very least it’s adventurous, I do like how they tried to do something different, and it worked well enough. Green tea is definitely kicking off, moreso in America no doubt, where your range of chocolate appears to be neverending (certainly not the case here as I am finding). And yeah, as something of a green tea connoisseur, it would have been nice to know which type they used.

Terry, I hear ya! I’ve eaten mine months ago as well, except my tasting notes are all saved email drafts.

Just like that saved email draft you have for me too, eh?
