Läkerol Giants Cactus

Läkerol Giants Cactus

I thought I would save the weirdest until last, and considering some of the stuff I’ve reviewed from Läkerol…that’s saying something. Cactus flavour Läkerol, in giant form! I don’t know what to make of this at all…

I don’t know what kind of flavour cactus has on its own, let alone when combined with liquorice, so once again I’m going in blind. These come in a pack rather than a box, and are roughly two or three times as big as the regular Läkerol, and so have a lot more flavour to them.

I can’t describe the initial flavour very well, it starts off as ordinary liquorice, before quickly becoming very sweet, and the cactus flavour comes through, which is like nothing I’ve ever had before. The two then seem to mix and become quite aniseed-like in their flavour, that’s really the best I can do in terms of describing it…

It’s good though, really good in fact. The best one I’ve had so far definitely, and this once again makes me believe that Läkerol should stick to normal liquorice and liquorice-related flavours, rather than going for all these strange, new things that they’ve done.

have you ever accidentally tasted aloe vera? does the cactus taste like that? reading about lakerol is like stepping into a parallel universe.

I don’t think I have…I might have to accidentally on purpose do that though just to see. Why’s it like stepping into a parallel universe, exactly?

hmm… i suppose you mightn’t necessarily consciously know if you had stepped into a parallel universe would you?

My favorite lakerol flavor is salvi. It’s a pity we can’t get it in Canada.

This cactus flavor is amazing! It starts out as the a bit of the regular licorice flavor, but then this weird but excellent tangy “honeydew-mint-kiwi-parsley” sort of taste. It’s a strong flavor but not really overpowering I thought. It’s really good – I bought four more packs of it the next day.
