So…Special flavour, not one I’m too familiar with. Supposedly this is a smoked flavour…smoked liquorice pastilles? I can’t even begin to imagine what these must taste like.

These come in a red box, the Lakerol boxes are quite well colour coded, making each flavour very easy to spot by colour alone, without even having to look at the actual flavour. Supposedly these are called special as they were introduced as limited edition, and were popular enough to become a regular edition, hence…special.

As it turns out, they taste…like pretty regular licorice. Again the menthol taste is kinda there, but nowhere near the same as the original flavour, these are quite plain and a little underwhelming. Not bad by any stretch of the imagination, just…plain.

I’m not sure what more I can say about these, if you like relatively ordinary liquorice then go nuts, if you want something a little more exciting then these aren’t for you.
