Altoids Tangerine Sours

It’s rare that I get to try Altoids, despite being a sweet that’s manufactured in Britain, it’s not sold here (except the Peppermint flavour, and rarely at that). So when I had the opportunity to get this flavour, I was more than willing.
I must say I do like the tasty sounding ingredients these have, including - Corn Syrup (not used here in Britain), and the delicious sounding Red 40 and Yellow 5! Scrumptious! In fact there’s no tangerine here at all, except for the oddly named ‘Natural flavor’ ingredient, is that it?
Well anyway, the tin looks as cool as ever, that’s one good thing about Altoids. Popping it open reveals the tin is full of little, hard orange crystals covered in a powdery white substance. These are the tangerine sours, and that’s exactly how they taste.
Definitely a tangerine taste, as opposed to the more common orange, and they’re not what I would call sour per se, but they’ve definitely got a sour note to them. They’re ok, the initial taste is weird, but once they’ve sat in the mouth for a bit the taste gets better, I’m not massively impressed though. If you’re a big tangerine fan then give these a whirl, otherwise it may not be worth it.
