Lindt Tarte au Chocolat Petit Desserts

February 19th, 2008 by Terry

The final Petit Desserts review, and that’s a darn shame. This is a Chocolate Tart Petit Dessert, dark chocolate Lindt with a milk chocolate truffle centre, and crunchy biscuit pieces.

It looks quite sickly on the front, the chocolate tart is literally a wedge of chocolate with a pie base, there’s no difference in the consistency, just a big piece of chocolate, I’m not worried though.

Same deal as usual: cardboard box, foil wrapper, 150g bar. The bar is exactly as described, the dark chocolate isn’t nearly as dark as I thought it would be. It adds a slight bitter twang to the bar, without being too rich and sickly.

And that’s a good thing, because with a chocolate centre, this had the potential to be very sickly indeed. As it turns out it’s a relatively plain bar, but made exceedingly well, and just being a rich, chocolate experience. Not the best in the range, but still better than nearly anything you’d find on a supermarket shelf.

P.S. Apologies for lack of photographs, didn’t think about taking a picture myself, and can find literally nothing on the internet.
