Lindt Tarte Citron Meringuee Petit Desserts
(Thanks to Chocablog for the picture)

Best to go with the official name here I think, this is a lemon meringue pie Petit Desserts bar from Lindt. There’s no English on the bar, as it’s actually made, and sold, in Belgium itself.

If you read through my earlier Petit Desserts reviews, then you should know what to expect here. It comes in the nice cardboard box, with a picture of a lemon meringue pie on the front, looking pretty delicious.

Inside is the foil wrapper, and in there is the bar itself. It has a white filling, not the yellow I was expecting from the front of the box (and from the fact that it’s lemon), but that’s not a problem. The filling also has biscuit pieces mixed in for some reason, I’ve never known pie to have biscuit pieces in before, though it may be to represent the meringue.

The lemon taste isn’t as strong as I expected, it’s mild and blends with the chocolate, rather than overpowering it. This is a sign of extremely good crafting, and the chocolate is of course up to Lindt’s extremely high standards.

A very pleasant, fragrant bar and being Lindt, it is of course excellent and highly recommended.
