Lotte Roast Almond Latte Koala no March

I’ve never been let down by these in the past, and roast almond latte sounds like a pretty delicious Winter limited edition flavour, doesn’t it?

I thought it did anyway, I was really looking forward to these. The box is typical Koala no March fare, with the long, hexagonal box design, covered by koalas, and there is also a picture of a cup of what I assume is the roast almond latte on the front.

Like always the box opens at the top and have a thick, foil pack inside. Inside there are a load of the small koala printed biscuits, which are filled with a white cream.

This is where it all goes wrong though, the taste is just…bad. Like no almonds I’ve ever had, it’s a really weird and hard to describe flavour. I can’t compare it to anything I’ve had before, I can only say…stay away from this, it’s no good at all.

The box has 300 calories, 2.6g Protein, 33.6g Carbohydrates and 17.2g Fat.

Oh dear Terry - seems like you didnt enjoy these one bit..I hope they didnt cost you too much to import.

Just to make this post a little more entertaining I was wondering if you had come across ‘Clodstoppers’???

Someone has contacted me @ chocolatemission and have said that these are they way forward!! Was just wondering if you had heard of these? I cant see a review on here!

Indeed I didn’t, they were a disappointment. They weren’t too expensive, about 80p or so, as part of an order from Jlist with all the other Japanese stuff I’ve been reviewing, so it’s ok.

I’ve never heard of them to be honest with you, a quick google search didn’t help much either. Sure you’ve got all that correct?

the apparent elusiveness of these ‘clodhoppers’ has me intrigued and i found a couple of mentions of them here
