Green & Black’s Maya Gold Bar

Green & Black’s Maya Gold Bar

A bit of an odd bar from Green & Black’s here, it’s a little more adventurous than anything else they have. As opposed to more traditional flavours, this bar is dark chocolate with orange and spices.

The dark chocolate isn’t exactly very dark, with only 55% cocoa solids. This is perhaps a good thing though, as the flavour is less rich and it doesn’t suffer from the same sicklyness as yesterday’s bar.

The orange is a completely different flavour to that of the Terry’s range, this is more powerful and authentic tasting orange, both sweet and bitter with the chocolate and spices mixed in, which are subtle in strength and yet strong with flavour.

Despite all of this, I wasn’t too fond of this bar. It just didn’t quite do it for me, which is probably more to do with me than with this bar, so don’t let that put you off trying it, as I do recommend it for an interesting experience.

The bar has 526 calories, 7.1g Protein, 48.2g Carbohydrates and 33.8g Fat.
