Green & Black’s Almond Bar

Green & Black’s Almond Bar

A milk chocolate bar chock full of whole almonds here. Yeah that’s right, WHOLE almonds, not pieces or halves, but whole almonds thrown in. This is one thick, heavy, nutty bar.

Green & Black’s actually describe part of the process on the back of the bar. The almonds are Sicilian and kept whole and with their skins on to keep the flavour, they’re then roasted to develop them and give them more crunch.

It worked as well, the bar is delicious. It’s as thick as I thought it would be and really is packed with almonds. The milk chocolate itself is of a very good quality and the combined ingredients work really well.

A definite winner here, I would like to see a hazelnut version of this but it’s very unlikely, the bar works really well and I can’t fault it. Really nice, check it out.

Per bar this has 578 calories, 11.8g Protein, 37.7g Carbohydrates and 42.2g Fat.

I wish I could find that bar in Ireland… it must be sooo nice!

Best chocolate ever. Got addicted to this when I was living in Britain. It’s probably a good thing it’s not available where I live now, because by the end of my stay I ate up to one bar a day… *g*

The funny thing is, of all the many chocolates I’ve tried in my life, this is the only one I’ll gladly eat an entire bar of in a day.

(Brilliant idea for a blog, btw!)

They do make a Hazelnut & Currants bar…
